CLEAN WATER SYSTEMS FOR FOLLOWING VILLAGES:

EACH VILLAGE HAS NEARLY 30 TO 50 FAMILIES. THEY NEED AT LEAST 2 PUMPING WELLS FOR THEIR DAILY ACTIVITIES. EACH WELL COSTS 300 CND.

	India, 6 September 2008, Nammo Amitabha Budda, Ms Dieu Lien and other Buddhists,

These are pictures of the three new wells, and other pictures taken from afar that show how poor the local villagers are.

Each village has nearly 50 families; each family lives in a small place of 3 square meters. It is a misery for nearly 10 people to shelter in such a narrow area.

When the wells are built, the villagers are happy and go together to bring water home. When drinking the water, they remember the source and happily bear in mind the endless good deed of the Eyes of Compassion and the Buddhist benefactors. People dwell on water to live; therefore, without water, people are extremely miserable.

I also wish to express my gratitude to Ms Dieu Lien for the camera as one of the means to implement upcoming Buddha’s work.

May the Buddha further support so as for the Eyes of Compassion to be firm on your Bodhisattva path bring benefits to living creatures; and for Ms Dieu Lien and other Buddhists to be in good health and sufficient resources per your wishes.

Dear Thay,

Ms Dieu Lien

I have just finished the construction of three wells in the Buddha’s Land near Bodhigaya, where our Loving Father was meditating for 49 days and became enlightened. But sadly, in the surrounding area within 3 kilometers from the place, people are so poor and in sore need of food, clothes, and water. Their fields are barren and dry, the plants wither, and their earth houses are dilapidated and will be easily struck down by a small storm. Thanks to the loving, open arms of Thay and Dieu Lien and other Buddhists, the villagers now have the pumping wells that give them water for daily use and for irrigation, and the schools for the children. These are precious and endless good deeds, which are really like our Vietnamese proverb “Whole leaves wrap torn leaves”.

One village has nearly 50 families; another has 30 families. One well for each village is not enough, therefore the villagers are asking for more wells.

The Indian monks do not have sufficient resources, and their shelters are simple. In Bodhigaya there was only one small Indian Pagoda, which belongs to the India ’s Buddhist sangha. All other Indian monks do not have pagodas. Their conditions are poor, because local people practice Hinduism; few follow the Buddha’s path and therefore do not give offerings to Buddhist monks. My master and us have a wish to remain here to support Buddhism in India and help the poor escape poverty, despite harsh weather. That is our sincere aspirations.

On behalf of the local people, I wish to thank Thay and Dieu Lien and other friends near and far. I wish you all good health, joys and firm Bodhisatva’s heart, and that all your good wishes will become true.

Poor people in Bihar Village happily receiving the generousity donation from TU KY KIEU though two brand new wells. People here were looking for clean water system for a long time. The children under a hot sunny days did not have water to shower. Their hair were dry and sticky. Their faces were dirty. Just look at their conditions, you will never turn yourself away from these children
