Phan Thiet September 7, 2007

Dear Miss Dieu Lien

In the morning of September 7, 2007, my Master and I went to the eye operation center to get a close look to our project and to contact with the numbers of doctors and eye patients there.  In general, the hospital organized everything well. All patients were from poor families in Ham Thuan Nam. The center supported transportation, patients were self-support for lunch. Our temple did not know this situation before to provide meals for patients

On September 8, 2007, the center started eye operations for poor patients of Ham Tan. Our temple supported meals for doctors, nurses, patients and members of patient’s family who came along with patients to help.

Dear aunt! Although Phan Thiet performed many charity cases of eye operation, however, still many cases need to be done. I wish you were there that day. Many patients were so happy and cried. They said if the charity work for eye operation was not there, perhaps they will live in darkness for the rest of their lives. I have contacted with many patients to offer my care and have known that, with a full working day, many of the patients can only generate 1000 dong VN (60 cents US) per day.

Just few words to let you know, Wish your body and mind in peace

Hanh Phap
